Clare Community Games Results



The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games Girls U13 Futsal competitions took place on Saturday 14th April in Corofin GAA Hall. Six teams from across the county participated. It was coordinated by Flan Brennan with his dedicated team of assistants. The standard was high with some of the matches so close that they went to extra time and penalty shoot out. The winners now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster Finals in U.L. In July.Corofin/Kilnaboy (White) had a bye to semi final. Corofin/Kilnaboy (Red) and Moylussa (Red) finished 0 – 0 at full time with Moylussa Red winning out on 4 – 2 after extra time & penalties to secure a place in the semi final. In the semi finals Moylussa (Red) beat Lisdoonvarna/Doolin/Kilfenora/Kilshanny 7 – 1 while Clarecastle/Ballyea had the narrowest of wins over Corofin/Kilnaboy(White) 1 – 0. The play off for Bronze medals was a very close encounter with Corofin/Kilnaboy (White) and Lisdoonvarna/ Doolin/Kilfenora/Kilshanny 2 – 2 at full time with Corofin/Kilnaboy finishing 4 – 2 after extra time & penalties.In the final Clarecastle/Ballyea girls overccame Moylussa (Red) for the opportunity to represent Clare in Munster.

4th Lisdoonvarna/Doolin/Kilfenora/Kilshanny – Caoimhe Byrne O’Connell, Tara Connolly, Susie King, Lorna McNamara, Ellie O’Dwyer, Sidhb O’Loughlin, Jane Shannon, Roisin Sheedy.

The new date for the Disability Awareness Workshop is now confirmed for Monday next April 23rd in the Pavillion, Lisdoonvarna @ 7pm


There are some changes in the Judo competitions this year. New Category U16 over 6. There will be no u10, u12, u14.
Boys and Girls will participate by wights – 22kgs, 26kgs, 30kgs, 34kgs, 38kgs, 42kgs, 46kgs, 50kgs, 54kgs, 54, 58kgs.


There are a few changes for the Munster Finals which will be held in U.L. This weekend. Clare will have 26 teams participating in Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Draughts, Handball, Indoor Soccer, Mini Rugby, Table Tennis. In the Badminton Boys the draw is Clare V Tipperary in semi final winners to play Limerick in Final. Badminton Girls Clare V Tipperary in semi final winners |V Kerry in Final. Chess U13 Clare V Cork in semi final. Draughts U14 Clare V Limerick in semi final winners V Kerry in Final.
